DOB: 13 June 1957
A hard working utility, Hutchinson played nearly 100 games for the reserves during his career, the majority and the start and end of his time with Melbourne.
He played a single game in his final season before retiring from the senior side and captaining the reserves to a premiership.
Hutchison began his coaching career in 1986 with VFA side Prahran, captain/coaching them to a second division premiership in his second year. He coached the Two Blues until the end of 1989 before joining Melbourne's match committee. He then coached the Dandenong Stingrays in the TAC Cup competition from 1993 to 1995.
Back at Melbourne as an assistant coach in 1997 he was appointed as caretaker coach when Neale Balme was sacked during the season. He made the last four for the senior job alongside Neale Daniher, Peter Schwab and Damian Drum but lost to Daniher in a close decision.
In 2000 he joined Richmond as an assistant to Danny Frawley. Hutchison coached the Casey Demons in 2008 before becoming Football Manager at St. Kilda in 2009 when the Saints affiliation with Casey ended.
Some sources list him as being from Rosebud.
