The follower appeared in the opening two rounds of 1967 but didn't play again. He managed six games in 1968, kicking three goals each in two of the matches.
He then joined Devonport in Tasmania's NWFU, and was a member of the state team at the 1969 Adelaide Carnival. He then moved to Canberra to complete a law degree, with Eastlake beating Manuka to his signature despite his study meaning he was zoned to the ANU team. His clearance was granted based on the financial hardship of playing for an amateur club. Played for the ACT interstate team in 1972 and 1973.
Coached Eastlake until 1976, before retiring and serving on the club's committee.
