A midfielder who debuted in 1986, Eishold was lightly used in his first two seasons but made the 1987 Preliminary Final squad. Just when he looked like becoming a regular in 1988 he missed three months with a broken collarbone just as he looked likely to become a regular senior player.
Returning for one game at the end of the year he became a regular 1989 until missing the finals series with a severely sprained ankle. 1990 was his finest year. Despite missing a month with a knee injury suffered in a collision with teammate Steven Clark during Round 1 he played 20 games including two finals. He had more injury trouble in 1991, breaking his thumb in Round 4 and being kept out of the game until Round 14.
Originally slated to move to Tasmania and coach Hobart in 1993 the move fell through and Eishold followed his old coach, John Northey to Richmond. He played just two games at the start of the year and three at the end before leaving the Tigers.
May have also played for St Paul's McKinnon.
