1935 pre-season forward who wanted to play with Melbourne but was refused a clearance by Footscray. He returned to the Western Oval, debuted early in the season, and played there until 1950 despite another attempt at joining the Demons in 1936, citing unhappiness with the employment found for him by Footscray. He served as their coach from 1943 and later coached West Perth from 1960 to 1963.
