Initially joining the club on a one match permit, Bull played just 31 games across five senior seasons, but left the club with an excellent win/loss record by virtue of playing his last four years in very strong sides.
After one game of 1957 he applied for a clearance to VFA side Camberwell before eventually joining Moorabbin.
Later Bull coached the Under 19s coach in 1969, and was a recruiting officer 1975-1977, specialist coach in 1978 and assistant Under 19s coach from 1979 to 1981.
