In the first season of their affiliation with Melbourne, Sandringaham captured their four premiership in nine seasons. Ex-Demon Graeme Yeats led the side, that included Melbourne listed players Ben Beams, Matthew Febey, Steven Pitt, Jamie Shanahan and Luke Williams. They shot to a 23 point lead at quarter time, and 35 at the long break. Two early goals in the third term gave North Ballarat some hope, but they were too far behind to capitalise.

Best were Maloney, Liddell and Pitt. Sandringham's Reserves also won the premiership on the same day.
