Speedy midfielder taken with Melbourne's first selection in the 2018 Draft. Debuted in the opening round of 2019 as a late replacement and goalled with his second kick. Injured his knee while playing for Casey midway through the year and didn't appear in the seniors again that season.
Sparrow played five games in 2020 before a broken collarbone ended his season. He was given a two year contract extension at the end of the year. Played the first four games of the season, until a period where he was the unused medical substitute six times. Returned to the side in Round 20 and held his side through to the Grand Final, winning a premiership.
In early 2022 he received another two year contract extension, and after playing all but one game in a career-best 2023, Sparrow's contract was further extended by two years to 2026. He played another 21 games in 2024, but was dropped late in the season.
