The Demons went into the game without the injured Casey Sherriff, Lauren Pearce and Sinead Goldrick from their big win a week earlier, but weren't troubled by the Suns. They struggled to turn possession dominance into scores early but three quick goals at the end of the first quarter, against scoreless opposition, put the game in their hands. They added two goals in each of the next three quarters while the home side got their only major of the night in the second term.
