Ruck, selected with Melbourne's third pick in the 2020 AFLW National Draft. From an elite netball background, having played in the Australian Under 21 national team. Did not play a game in her first season, before debuting in 2022. She only played one game in the 2022 spring season, unable to break into a strong team.

At the end of the 2022 spring season, Caris retired to concentrate on her elite netball career.

Her sister Rene played AFLW with Geelong.
