Rover who began his career with Melbourne in the VFA in 1894 and continued with the club when they transferred to the newly created VFL. He formed part of a lethal ruck division with Vic Cumberland and rover Fred McGinis in the early VFL years and was part of the Redlegs first premiership victory.
Served during World War I.
May have been from Napier Imperial. May have made his VFA debut in 1895. Name spelt Moody in some sources. Described as retiring before the 1907 season though no records show him playing in 1906.
