In their first home game of the season, Melbourne recorded a second consecutive thumping victory to sit 2-0 in the new AFLW season. The reintroduction of Georgia Gall left the Demons with a tall forward line, and they took full advantage of their height difference. Tayla Harris kicked three goals in the first quarter, and four for the day, while all the other forwards chipped in during the day. Tyla Hanks was dominant in the midfield, and the day was only soured by a knee injury to Olivia Purcell in the second quarter.
Best were Hanks, Harris, and Hore. Lily Johnson replaced Sarah Lampard (calf) in the selected side.
