David Dunbar

David Dunbar DOB: Unknown

Coach of Port Melbourne from 2000 to 2003, who was also in charge of East Fremantle between 2005 and 2007. In 2004 Dunbar worked in recruiting and opposition analysis for Fremantle. He coached Port Melbourne's Reserves for four years, before joining Hawthorn as an opposition scout in 1997.

In 2008, Dunbar joined Melbourne as Innovations Coach, replacing Barry Prendergast who had become chief recruiter. Before Round 1, 2008 he was found watching a closed Hawthorn training session while dressed as a construction worker. Melbourne lost the game by over 100 points. He was later reported to have fallen out of a tree while scouting St Kilda before Round 10.

Dunbar played 100 VFA games for Frankston and Port Melbourne between 1979 and 1990.
