The Demons travelled to Perth to face Jeff Farmer and Troy Simmonds as opponents for the first time.
Trent Croad kicked seven goals for the Dockers but it was a familiar face who sank the Demons. Just seconds before the siren Neitz fell into Farmer's back and conceded a free kick. Farmer converted the kick from 30m out to spark wild scenes amongst the Freo faithful.
