Sid Catlin (2nd game)
Promoted to the starting side for the first time after gathering five kicks in five minutes coming off the bench on-debut a week earlier, Sid Catlin played one of the more memorable second games in league history.
The 16-year-old Catlin who had started his career in the fourths at the start of the year kicked the first goal of his career, and was one of his side's best, but had nine more shots on goal for eight behinds and one that didn't score.
After a high scoring first quarter where both clubs kicked five goals, South nudged ahead by ten points at half time of a game played at a furious tempo. They only surrendered a point off their lead in the third term and booted six goals in the last to run out comfortable winners.
Best were Stone, Catlin and Osborne. Catlin played just two more games for the Demons. Mann (concussion) was replaced by Smith in the second quarter, the other Reserve was unused.
