Career Statistics

Drafted after making his SANFL debut in 1994, Bassett was promoted to the senior list after Round 4, 1997 to replace Craig Turley but suffered a fractured sternum in the next Reserves game. He returned late in the year to play out the season in the seconds before being swapped to Adelaide for Matthew Collins and Brent Williams. He wore number 49 while on the Demon list.

Bassett played 13 games in his first season in Adelaide, but lost his spot late in the season and missed the Crows premiership triumph. He was the senior coach of SANFL club Norwood from 2010 to 2013 when he was appointed as an assistant coach with Essendon.
