From: Hopetoun/North Ballarat Rebels, selection #12 2010 National Draft
The All-Australian Under 18 tall forward who had finished Top 10 in the Draft Combine for the 3km time trial and kicking accuracy was Melbourne's top pick, their first from outside the top ten in four seasons.
He made an impressive senior debut in the 2011 NAB Cup but spent the entire year at Casey, ending it in their reserves team before being injured late in the season.
Cook spent the entire 2012 season at Casey again, failing to break through for a senior game again and at the end of the season newspaper reports listed him as being in danger of being dropped from the list by coach Mark Neeld.
He wore number 21 on both of his years on the list.
Cook was eventually delisted at the conclusion of the trade period and join the North Ballarat Roosters in the VFL. After 13 games with the Roosters he returned to Hopetoun before returning to the VFL with Port Melbourne in 2015, where he remained through 2018.
