The defender and brother of Richmond's Damian played 28 senior games before badly injuring his groin midway through 1997 and missing the rest of the season. He returned for one final game in 1998 but couldn't break into a strong Demons backline.

Gaspar won the 1998 Reserves Best and Fairest but was delisted at the end of the year.

Returned to the WAFL and joined East Fremantle in 1999 while simultaneously working as a policeman and was captain in 2004 and 2005 before retiring and being replaced by Shane Woewodin. He played 110 games for them in total, and later worked as their Football Manager.

A third brother Travis played for West Coast.
