Wingman/rover who signed for Hawthorn in 1943 but didn't play a game, and instead joined Melbourne in 1944.

Conroy made his debut in Round 1, 1944 but only played two matches before spending the rest of the season in the Seconds.

He returned for nine games the next season. He had played the first six matches of 1945 before an ankle injury kept him out until Round 18.

Conray managed just one more game in 1946, and in early 1947 joined VFA team Brighton. He remained with them until at least 1954.
