In their inaugural Grand Final, the Demons had the formidable task of overcoming an Adelaide side that had already won two premierships, and were the only side to beat them in 2022. They were unable to seriously challenge the home side, holding them to a single goal in the opening quarter but at the expense of failing to score themselves. With leading goalkicker Tayla Harris well held, Melbourne had few avenues to goal and had to wait for an Alyssa Bannan intercept late in the second quarter for their first points. The game was slipping away in the third quarter before a Kate Hore goal gave Melbourne a chance. Paxy Paxman missed a shot that would have cut the margin to single figures, and the Crows steadied to easily hold on in the final term and win the flag.
Best were Paxman, Goldrick and Colvin. Maddie Gay injured her knee, and Casey Sherriff her wrist.
