Richard Kelly

VFA half-forward from 1888 to 1894. Filled in as captain late in the 1893 season when Eddie Fox was injured.

He was originally supposed to be cleared to Richmond in 1894 to become their captain but was forced to miss the season with a relapse of Typhoid. He was linked with a return to Melbourne, but eventually switched to Richmond in May 1895, also captaining the local cricket team. Played 39 VFA games for Richmond until the end 1896.

In 1913 Kelly was the Footscray representative to the VFA.

Won the Victorian lawn bowling championship in 1910.

Sometimes referred to as Dick. May have played Second 20 in 1887.
