Played a practice match in 1971 while in Victoria on national service, but signed with Fitzroy instead. He played two games for the Lions early that year. South Melbourne had also been pursuing him.
Then returned to Central Districts, and captained them in 1976 and 1977. Coached Lobethal in 2005.
