Hugh McLeod

RH "Hugh" McLeod was appointed by the Melbourne Cricket Club as football secretary in 1890 and served to 1897. He was a delegate to the VFL in its first season and initially chaired the first meeting of the new league before vacating the chair after Alex McCracken was elected its first president.

Formerly a VFA delegate for the original University club.

In 1901 he was working as a sporting journalist in New Zealand, and in the 1910's moved to Western Australia for his career.
