Ben Wardill

Ben Wardill DOB: 15 October 1842
Died: 15 October 1917

From: Liverpool, England

After migrating to Australia in 1861 to join his brother Richard, Ben also played football for his brother's club in 1862 and 1864 to 1865

He also played two first class cricket games for Victoria as wicketkeeper in 1866 and 1867.

Wardill served as secretary of the MCC from April 1878 to February 1911 before retiring due to ill-health. He successfully arranged and managed a number of Australian tours of England.
