The Demons were at full-strength and North was missing three Brownlow Medallists and a centre-half forward for the second half of an MCG double-header after Richmond played St Kilda
Best were Healy, Flower and Templeton. Brian Wilson suffered a severely broken left arm crashing into the MCG fence during the first quarter and didn't play until round 16.
