Son of Ken McKaige who was a member of the MFC Scholarship Squad in 1975 as a promoted player from the Under 17s but did not play seniors.
McKaige was still listed with the Demons as a 22-year-old in 1981.
His brother Rohan was in the Under 19's at the same time but also failed to make a senior appearance. His younger brothers Cameron and Mark were also signed by the Demons in 1973 but did not play.
