Longtime property steward who was invited to the Melbourne rooms by then-business associate Ron Barassi in 1957, and was offered a role as assistant Fourths trainer. He became Reserves property stewart in 1974, then senior property steward in 1984. Before becoming a full-time employee he balanced football duties with work as a travelling furniture salesman.
Henderson retired at the end of the 1994 season and passed away soon after.
