Career Statistics

Zoned to Melbourne, Ezard was invited to training in 1983 but with the seniors playing a pre-season game the recruits were sent on a run, and when Melbourne officials weren't interested he returned to Broadford. He joined VFA side Coburg, and after impressing at the start of the season Essendon paid Melbourne $5000 for him. He went on to play 184 games and win two premierships with the Bombers.

Coached North Ballarat in 1994, and played for them when they debuted as a VFL side in 1996. Also coached Coburg in the late 1990s. Player/coach of St Albans in 2000. Also coached Mt. Evelyn, Pascoe Vale in 2007, and Noble Park from 2009 until being sacked in July. Ezard was then at Hoppers Crossing in 2010, Hillside in 2012 and La Trobe University in 2015.

His nephew James played for Port Adelaide in 2005 and 2006.
