The representative team of the Metropolitan Junior Football Association had beaten Footscray in their previous match. The juniors went into the game full of confidence, but were 48 points down at quarter time and never recovered. The second quarter was more even, and for 10 minutes the juniors held sway but could only register one goal, and ended up conceding three to drop further behind.
Best was Langley.
