Graduated from the 1976 Scholarship Squad to make his senior debut five years later, coming into the side for the Round 16, 1981 game as a late replacement for the injured Peter Keenan.
He retained his spot for the rest of the season, before joining VFA side Oakleigh in 1982. He crossed to Mordialloc as a playing assistant in coach in 1988, but they folded early in the season and he returned to Oakleigh, remaining with them until retiring at the end of 1989.
