200cm college basketballer who was recruited by NBL side Melbourne Tigers in 1984. He joined local side Knox in 1985 and was spotted by CEO Roy Gilbert at a basketball game that year. Gilbert invited him to Melbourne, and while Dyer trained under Ray Jordan but did not play senior games. Returned to America at the end of 1985.
