Cliff Tyson (2nd game, also with North Melbourne)

With eight players on the injured list Melbourne tried two more debutants in an attempt to break through for their second win of the season, but it was a case of another day, another loss for the hapless Redlegs.

The Shinboners led narrowly at the first change, before adding three goals to their lead in both the second and third terms. Melbourne's season was over and they were no closer to getting back in the winner's circle.

Taylor, Glass and Niven were best.
