James Brewis

Born in England, Brewis moved to Australia in 1911. In 1924 he joined Melbourne but didn't play a senior game. In the same year he joined Victoria Police, and served until dying in 1954 as a result of a road accident on duty.

Brother of Carlton's Ted Brewis.
