Harry Chadwick

DOB: 28 November 1845
Died: 8 May 1882

From: South Yarra/Carlton

Born in London, Chadwick moved to Australia as a child and was educated at both Scotch College and Melbourne Grammar.

The first captain of Carlton in 1864, he also played for South Yarra in 1865. Chadwick moved to Melbourne in 1868 after an internal dispute. He was joined by James Byrne and Charles Forrester. He didn't play in 1869.

He died aged 37 when he burst a blood vessel while shifting a buggy. He took to bed but failed to recover.
