Reserves Premiership player - 1993

Originally from Springvale, Doyle played two games for St. Kilda in 1990 before joining Dandenong in the VFA where he played in their 1991 premiership side.

After being voted best on ground in a representative game against the Victorian Country Football League, Melbourne took a chance on Doyle in the mid-season draft but he didn't play a game until the next year.

He managed just two games in his first year - winning a Reserves premiership - but played 13 games in a much improved 1994 team. His last two seasons yielded just seven games each.

Doyle Captain/Coached Rye from 2000 to 2002 and was an assistant at Traralgon. He was also an assistant at the TAC Cup Oakleigh Chargers from 2005 to 2008 and the Victoria Metro team in 2009 and 2010 before being appointed head coach of the Chargers in 2011.
