Melbourne 4
Albert Park 0 (half time 3-0)
Melbourne win by 4 goals
Goalkickers: Bob Sillett 2, Tommy Horan 1, Edward Longden 1
Melbourne had an easy time of it against Albert Park, despite a northerly wind blowing across the ground and frequently taking the ball out of bounds. Forrester won the toss for the Reds and they opened up a three goal lead at the half. Sillett mastered the conditions to convert the first from 40 yards, and on the restart the ball was immediately sent back towards Albert Park's goal. Horan got the second not long after, before Longden put in another before the break.
Bob Sillett got his second after half time, but the visitors were more stern in their defensive effort after the break.
Best were Longden, Kneen and Sillett.
