First Game
Luke Williams
During the week Garry Lyon retired and had his spot on the list taken by Luke Williams. The promoted rookie had a shot at goal from his first kick but missed, and the Demons hopes of playing in the finals were as good as gone by half time when the Saints were 51 points in front.
With their season on the line Melbourne sparked, kicking six goals to one in the third quarter to make a contest of it. They drew within a point in the last quarter but couldn't edge in front and St Kilda steadied to win and leave the Demons three wins and 16% outside the eight with five games to play.
Chisholm, Woewodin and Hopgood were best.
