St. Kilda win by 3 points
Harry Henderson (36th game)
A strong wind blew to one end of the ground, helping the locals open up a 32 point lead at quarter time. Melbourne only chipped away at the gap in the second but held St Kilda relatively well in the third before launching a blistering comeback during the fourth term. While St Kilda failed to score again they managed to hold on to win by three points.
Best were Langley, H. Cordner and H. Purse.
