1964 and 1965 Reserves ruckman who had been sought by all 11 of the other VFL clubs after winning Camperdown's best and fairest as a 17-year-old in 1963. He had his first training run with the Demons in September 1963, then joined the club full time the next season. He was cleared shortly before the start of the season but didn't play a game.
Cleared to Fitzroy early in 1965 where he played until 1970. Retiring early that season because of commitments at his farms at Kyneton and Riddells Creek, he captain/coached Kyneton in 1970 and 1971.
