Half-back who first trained with the side in 1944, and remained involved until 1948. In his last year he was on the senior list wearing number 26, and played in a tour game in Shepparton. He was dropped from the list before 1949.

Joined Rockbank as playing/coach in 1950 and won three league best and fairest awards. His side played in a Grand Final in 1952, before winning it in 1953.
