1882 backman recruited midway through the season who also played for Melbourne and Geelong in 1883 before returning to his original club permanently in 1884.

Rejoined Melbourne in 1885, went back to Geelong, then back to Melbourne again the same year and remained with the club until the end of 1887. Played for South Melbourne in 1888 and 1890, but also for Geelong in 1889 and 1891.
