1953 pre-season centre half-back, recruited on the recommendation of Port Melbourne player Tommy Lahiff. When secretary Jim Cardwell travelled to Corowa to sign him he wasn't there, and was eventually located in hospital suffering side-effects from inoculations. He signed a contract to play with the Demons in his hospital bed but didn't appear in a senior game.
