Drafted after playing in Northern Knights' TAC Cup premiership and six VFA games for Prahran, the quick midfielder spent a year in the Reserves before playing all five of his senior matches in the middle of the 1996 season.
Polley travelled with the side as an emergency for the last game of 1995 but was not required, and his 1996 debut was delayed by a Reserves suspension.
After his delisting Polley trained with Essendon, but was picked by Collingwood with selection #36 in the 1997 Rookie Draft but did not play seniors and was delisted after one season.
Played for Glenelg in 2001.
