Alexander Bennie

DOB: Unknown
Died: 21 April 1919

1881 player described as "the boy of the team. A splendid all-round man."

He was also a well-known swimmer and athlete, winning the 300 yards championship of Vicotria in a walk-over in 1887.

He went to the First World War as a surgeon, but was sent home 'invalided' in late 1917 and passed away two years later.
