Richmond win
It was alleged that Richmond captain Henry Harrison recruited some Melbourne players to cross to Richmond for the match.
A number of spectators interfered with play in the centre of the field, but some were knocked over by players during the match.
Former Melbourne man William Hammersley got played for Richmond and scored a goal but it was disallowed.
Best were Wardill, Woolley and Cosstick.
Notes
The Herald claims that Hammersley's goal was not counted.
