Received two Brownlow medal votes in the Round 20, 2009 win over Fremantle, but was delisted at the end of the season. Valenti won both the Troy Broadbridge Medal for highest Melbourne vote-getter in the Casey Best and Fairest, and Ian Ridley Club Ambassador Award at the 2009 Melbourne Best and Fairest.
