Assistant coach under Ron Barassi in the early 80s.

Started his coaching career as an assistant at North Old Boys from 1970 to 1972.

Senior coached De La Salle to a B-Section and two A-Section VAFA premierships before joining Essendon as Reserves coach in 1980. Coached Fitzroy Reserves in 1985. Coached Ajax from 2008, taking them to a C Section premiership in 2011.
