Assistant coach under Ron Barassi in the early 80s.
Started his coaching career as an playing assistant at North Old Boys from 1970 to 1972, after being with the club since 1965. Senior coach at De La Salle from 1975 to 1979, winning a B-Section and two A-Section VAFA premierships before joining Essendon as Reserves coach in 1980.
Coached Fitzroy Reserves in 1985. Coached Ajax from 2009 to 2012, including a VAFA C Section premiership in 2011.
