1948 pre-season wing/half-back as a 23-year-old. He then joined North Melbourne, where he played five games in 1948 and 1949 before returning to Lemnos.

Eliason had previously served as a leading aircraftman in the 2nd Operational Training Unit of the Air Force in 1944 and 1945.
