Cut after the 1986 pre-season, he played for Old Xaverians in 1986 and 1987, before joining Richmond for two seasons from 1988. In 1988 he played for the Australian Amateurs side at the National Carnival due to having been recruited from an amateur club. Forced to retire due to a knee injury suffered in 1989.
