Crossed from Geelong for 1984 after playing at the Cats with his twin brother Michael, but did not appear in a senior match in 1984.

Nigel returned to Geelong West in 1988, before moving to Warrnambool. He and his brother operated a hotel and he continued to play for South Warrnambool including premierships in 1990 and 1991. He coached the side in 2005 and 2006 before coaching Warrnambool in 2010.

Wore number 50 in 1984 Reserves games.
