Tasmanian wingman who joined Melbourne in 1968 after playing for the Tasmanian amateur state side the previous year. Played nine games in three seasons, and appeared in two Reserves premierships.
Forster joined VFA side Oakleigh in 1971. In 1972 he was unlucky to miss their premiership after injuring his hamstring in the final home and away match of the season. He remained there until 1974. Later played for Wedderburn, before joining Prahran in 1976. He coached their seconds in 1977 through 1981 and served as an assistant coach to the seniors. In 1982 he was Prahran’s full-time administrator.
